This project is a study of an ancient Greek amphora inspired by classical red-figure pottery.
The goal was to recreate a historically grounded ceramic vessel with a strong focus on material authenticity, surface aging, and ornamental detail.

The amphora features hand-crafted decorative bands, subtle asymmetry to avoid a “perfect” CG look, and layered roughness variation to capture the tactile quality of aged terracotta. Special attention was given to surface breakup — mineral deposits, micro scratches, pigment wear, and uneven darkening around the rim and handle — to enhance realism and storytelling.

I aimed to balance archaeological accuracy with artistic interpretation, preserving the elegance of classical proportions while emphasizing material depth and believable aging.
